Meet Debbie Savage of Baby Emi Jewelry

Baby jewelry is a wonderful keepsake to celebrate new life and will remain a part of your child’s memories for years. The baby jewelry from designer Debbie Savage of Baby Emi Jewelry is absolutely precious and inspired by a long-term Cambodian tradition. The jingle bells bracelets and anklets are believed to ward off bad spirits while also serving as an auditory clue to Mommy of her child’s movement and activity. This beautiful line of delicate baby jewelry, found at, is great for your baby and their love of new sounds and also a perfect gift for any special occasion. With this, I happily introduce you to Debbie Savage as she shares her passion for her children and her company, Baby Emi Jewelry.

How would you define the Baby Emi Jewelry style philosophy?

Fun and fashionable with a purpose.

What inspired you to become a designer and start a business?

My entrepreneurial spirit was given to me by my mother who is very ingenious and resourceful. My love for fashion, jewelry and children were the reasons for me to start a business about things I am passionate about!

Why did you choose to design children’s jewelry?

The birth of a child is so precious and the joy accompanied with such an event can be felt by all.  I wanted to offer something that celebrates new life that can become a keepsake.

What is your favorite part of your daily work … when you reflect on the day, what is most rewarding?

My favorite part of my daily work is knowing that my jewelry will become a part of a child’s memory and his/her parents.  I love interacting with my customers and finding out about their special child and momentous occasion in which they are buying our jewelry…it is so great that I can do this in the comfort of my own home with my three children around.

If you had to pick a favorite design from your collection, what would it be?

Our signature Jingle Bells Anklets!  They have a timeless beauty!

What sets Baby Emi apart from other jewelry designers?

I offer jewelry that has been a part of my family’s culture since the beginning of time.  For centuries Cambodian mommies have adorned their babies with Jingle Bells Anklets with the belief that the whimsical jingling would ward off bad spirits to keep the baby safe.   Think of it as a GPS for children – mommies are constantly aware of their babies movements and whereabouts through gentle jingling.

Do you have any news that you would like to share, perhaps about upcoming designs or introductions to your line?

This month marks our our 5 year anniversary! Baby Emi Jewelry was launched just before the birth of my second child.  It has grown so much since its inception.  We now offer anklets, bracelets and bangles for both mom and baby.  One of our most exciting press moments was being featured in Orange Coast Magazine as one of their mom – enterpreneurs to watch!
