New Painted Furniture by Russell & Mackenna

Winter is here at Rosenberry Rooms! We are beginning to wear sweaters and scarves, and holiday music is already playing throughout our office. Is it bad that I’m already looking forward to summer?

Now that we’ve changed our clocks and it gets dark at 5pm on the east coast, I can already feel my seasonal affective disorder setting in. That is why I chose to feature one of our newest furniture designers, Russell and Mackenna to brighten up my day!

The idea for Russell and Mackenna was born in 2003 with one client, a table saw, and some rough sketches of their now-perfected cottage furniture. This collection boasts a simple and basic beach design that is sure to delight both parent and child. The pieces recapture the peaceful sentiments of open air and carefree living, while adding a hint of playfulness to their designs. Take, for example, the Seamus Seaside Cabinet Media Center. The design is simple and basic, however the various customization details work to make each piece the perfect accent to any room. You can add various types of frills to make the piece more feminine, and even pick your choice of a cut out or raised icon to be featured in the middle of the piece.

Speaking of color, you should make sure to scroll through their list of 33 color options, featured on each of the product pages. Bright hues with names such as beach grass, Bermuda blue, sand dune, vast sky and white linen call relaxing summer memories to mind, and provide the perfect escape—despite the chilly weather!

It is impossible to pick my favorite piece among their collection, because it is so diverse. From cabinets to wall units, vanities to side tables, cribs to daybeds, each of these pieces have their own customization opportunities to make the piece truly one of a kind. So whether you’re creating a cottage-inspired room for your little one, redecorating your beach house, or just looking for a little summery inspiration during the cold winter season, Russell and Mackenna will surely satisfy.
