A Peek Inside Penelope’s Nursery!

Rosenberry Rooms’ very own Emily recently had her first baby – a girl named Penelope Rose! We couldn’t be happier for her and her family. IMG_4870_bwIsn’t Penelope a doll? IMG_4868_cropped_bwDuring a congratulatory visit, Emily gave us a peek inside her gorgeous nursery design. The colors and mix of patterns are incredible, and we can’t wait to share the details!

Stella’s Modern Girly Nursery

It’s always exciting to come across photos of our customers’ rooms on Instagram. One customer, Brooke, had posted a couple pics of her daughter Stella’s nursery. It is so adorable, we asked if we could share those pics and more on our blog!

11004011_942501032428802_1852076731_nInspired by Kourtney Kardashian’s nursery for daughter Penelope, Brooke added personal touches that baby Stella can treasure for years to come. She designed the print above the crib and the pray sign that sits on the shelf. 11005924_942501669095405_1318891376_n copy11004948_942501589095413_280980394_nThe Newport Cottages bookcase displays dolls, personalized items, and pretty vintage decor.11005749_942501925762046_1803899007_nBrooke found the mirror (which hangs above the crisp white changing table) at an antique store and painted it gold. The rocking horse was also an antique store find!11006146_942501982428707_628429251_n copyThe tree bookcase is always a show-stopper! Modern Marsala Nursery

color-of-the-year-2015Who says Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year, Marsala, isn’t a good fit for the nursery? This red-brown hue may seem like an unconventional choice, but that’s why we love it!

Try mixing it into a modern-and-minimal, black-and-white nursery design for a totally unique look! This color scheme can work for both a boy or a girl and provides just enough edginess while still being fun, bold and playful.

Holly Becker's Nursery Tour

When we stumbled upon Holly Becker’s nursery for her son, we just knew we had to share it! Holly is the founder and managing editor of decor8, a blog dedicated to sharing unique, inspiring and beautiful products, people and places with a heavy focus on creativity and decorating.

Holly and her husband, Thorsten, worked together to renovate this room in time before their son was born. They started with the most important piece of furniture – the crib – and decorated around it. A changing table just to the left of the crib makes diaper changes a breeze, and fun trinkets are displayed above.

after_hollybeckerThe wallpaper was the jumping-off point for this room. Applied only to a feature wall, it’s a beautiful backdrop to the room without feeling too overpowering. Its modern-yet-vintage vibe adds just the right amount of contrast to all the white furniture, oak floors and light-colored walls. Well done!babyroom16Opposite the crib is the mini library book shelf, providing the perfect place to store books, toys and trinkets. A gallery wall is prominently displayed above the book shelf, featuring vintage, indie and handmade art.  Holly used washi tape to hang some of the art for a more casual (and flexible) look. The soft flokati rug softens the entire room, and a custom glider in the corner is ready for snuggling. (Doesn’t the lightning throw pillow add a fun punch of yellow?)after3

Thank you so much to Holly and the decor8 blog for sharing this fabulous room with our fans!

Little Xavier's Nursery

It is so exciting to receive submissions of real rooms, and we fell head over heels for this nursery sent to us by Melissa Barling of WINTER*DAISY! The soft, neutral colors throughout this nursery are perfect for little Xavier and can grow with him for years to come.

We especially love the classic yet contemporary Kalon Studios crib. Its dark rails provide a nice contrast to the light walls and chair, and the maple wood ties in perfectly with the other natural elements in the room.

Carolyne's Coral & Gold Nursery

Carolyne Nell – named after her two late great grandmothers – was born July 28, 2014. We spotted her gorgeous room on Project Nursery and just had to share it! Mom Amy gave us a little insight into her inspiration for baby Carolyne’s nursery, as well as the challenges of becoming a mom of two!

I decided to go very “girly” for her nursery and came up with the idea of doing a focal wall of glitter. I found some AMAZING wallpaper and fell in love with it, so I centered everything else around that! I loved the way the coral and aqua accents complemented the gold.

Carolyne is the baby sister to big brother Tripp (3 years old). He’s obsessed with her and loves “helping” take care of her and giving her kisses!

It’s been pretty challenging making the adjustment from one child to two – especially with stubborn big brother in the midst of potty training and tantrums! I knew it would be hard getting used to two kids, but it’s definitely proven to be quite the adjustment! Giving both of them my attention is tough, but I’ve really tried to make the effort so he doesn’t have crazy jealousy issues! We actually have a “big brother box” full of cheap toys, coloring books, etc (Target and Walmart dollar aisles are the greatest!) that he gets to choose something out of when he’s being a “big helper” and/or someone comes to meet her and brings her a gift (so he doesn’t feel left out or jealous). But, with all of that being said, nothing is more rewarding than being a parent and watching your babies grow up before your eyes! It’s truly amazing (and kinda devastating) how quickly they grow and change!

What is your favorite part of Carolyne’s nursery? Tell us in the comments below!

Gino's Black & White Nursery

Post by Samantha Riccioli

I am about 30 days away from giving birth to my first child, Gino, and wanted to create a chic, grown-up black and white nursery that reflects my modern style. I found the wallpaper first and everything else just came together naturally for me. photo-2-2photo 2-1I love black and white and knew that whether the baby was a boy or a girl, the room would look like this. I’m excited to spend time in a room that I, myself, would live in!photo-3-2photo-1-4 DSC07674photo-3-3
