Natural signs of aging, nicks, scratches, shrinkage, and distressing are a normal part of this antiqued look. Nature is unique and never duplicates, making no two pieces of wood, even from the same tree, exactly alike. Slight color differences between pieces of a collection or even in one piece of furniture may be noticed. Natural stains, knots, wood grains and markings inherent to wood products are considered desirable features, as they enhance the uniqueness and beauty of the furniture.

When choosing your finish type, you will need to select how much "wear" (if any) you would like on your furniture piece. Wear is a process of peeling and sanding the edges of a piece of furniture to make it appear more aged. You have the option of a solid finish in which there is no sanded or peeled paint, or you can select the level of wear (light, regular, or heavy) you would like. Please note that each finish swatch image shows regular wear and the technique will vary for each finish color. You are also able to choose if you prefer distressing "dings" or marks on your furniture piece when you choose "with distressing marks" or "no distressing".
