Beds manufactured by Newport Cottages accommodate a box spring and a mattress, includes 4-5 slats depending on the size of the bed and have a 12" clearance from the floor. You may add on the optional trundle which can accommodate a 6" high mattress. Trundles are not pop up trundles.

The unique finishes are hand rubbed to achieve a slightly aged and weathered look. Individually applied to each piece, these finishes can be customized in color and style. Please note that stained finishes may allow irregular grain patterns and discoloration in the wood to be visible. Stained finishes are recommended on tops, backs and knobs. Color lots may vary slightly from batch to batch. Please note that wood stain finishes come non-distressed and do not have the option for distressing. The finishes that are classified as wood stains include: coffee, chocolate and caramel.

Each furniture piece from Newport Cottages is made of high quality hardwood, with the tops made of birch and panels made of poplar. Wood will expand and contract. Hairline cracks are part of the normal aging process. Inlaid panels. Mortise and tenon joinery.
