E ver since childhood fairy tales and myths have fascinated this artist. Pily was often found sketching animals and various mystical creatures, but she never ended up pursuing art in her studies.
In 2000, Pily received her medicine degree. Shortly thereafter she began interacting with patients who consisted of mostly children. Every morning she would surprise them with a new animal drawing on the board, taking great pride in making them happy. As a doctor, she eased their pain physically but as an artist she was able to make them forget that they were sick.
Following the birth of her baby, Sofia, Pily noticed how much she enjoyed her paintings by smiling and imitating each animal. It was a true joy to see her happy and have fun with artwork. This was the true inspiration for Pily to paint for other children, too! |
